How Does Guided Shadow Work, Work?
What to Expect
During each Guided Shadow Work session, the Practitioner will begin a virtual session with the Client for the agreed upon time. Guided Shadow Work is:
- Collaborative;
- Highly individualized;
- Fully engaged;
- And a balance of intuitive guidance and practical advice.
The Practitioner's Role
The Shadow Work Guide is responsible for walking alongside the Client as they navigate and share their life challenges. The Practitioner takes on the role of what some middle Eastern traditions call a "moon-pointer." For instance, the Practitioner direct's the Client's attention toward their True North when discernable. The goal of the Shadow Work Guide is to bring a Client into a closer relationship with self.
Aspects of Guided Shadow Work
Guided Shadow Work with The Flowing Victress has two distinct components: (1) Life coaching and (2) Intuitive guidance.
- Coaching: Practical exercises and advice, more traditional to the model of personal coaching. In coaching, the Practitioner draws on their own life experience and earned knowledge to bring strategies for the Client to "try on" and apply to their own life.
- Intuitive guidance: The Practitioner senses into the energy to shine a light on energetic tangles, blind spots, and different "Parts" of the Client. Intuitive guidance often involves channeling. This can look like: Slowness of the Practitioner as they receive information silently. During a direct channel, it is possible not much feedback is offered, as the Practitioner processes information and aligns in real-time with Source energy of the energy of the Client. Channels are often followed by a spontaneous burst of speech.
- During channeling, the Practitioner sets their personality and speaks through compassionate lens of Source.

A large part of Guided Shadow Work takes place on an energetic level. GSW may appear to be solely therapeutic on the surface, but many unseen interactions can take place during a session.
Guided Shadow Work often touches on triggering aspects of a Client's life experience; skillfully and collaboratively working through these challenging tangles is where the medicine lies.
Terms of Service
✦ Attendance, Rescheduling, and Cancellations
Each session is a sacred container designed to support the Client in deep inner work. To honor this connection between Client and Practitioner, please arrive in a timely manner and communicate openly as any changes arise.
Grace Period & No-Call/No-Shows
- There is a 10-minute grace period after the scheduled start time.
If no contact is made within 10 minutes of the start time, the session will be considered a no-call/no-show.
Except in genuine emergencies, a no-call/no-show results in forfeiture of the full session payment and may lead to termination of all future sessions and payment arrangements. - If you arrive within the grace period, your session will conclude at the originally scheduled end time to respect all Clients’ appointments. If The Flowing Victress' schedule allows, the original session time may be extended by ten minutes to make up for the grace period.
- Repeated instances of tardiness may result in fee assessment.
Client Rescheduling
If you must reschedule, please do so with as much notice as possible.
-
More than 24 hours’ notice: No fee will be assessed. The appointment must be rescheduled within two weeks or it will be considered forfeited. Because payments are drafted automatically, the Practitioner will retain the payment and apply it toward your rescheduled appointment.
-
Less than 24 hours’ notice: A fee of $10 or 15% of the session cost (whichever is greater) will be applied, except in cases of emergency. This fee is due before the next scheduled session.
-
Emergencies include sudden illness, injury, family crisis, or other unforeseen urgent events. Repeated last-minute cancellations labeled as emergencies may require discussion or documentation.
-
Clients may reschedule up to two times per booking. Further changes may require rebooking with fees assessed.

Technical Difficulties
In the event of technical issues such as internet outages, platform malfunctions, or power loss, the affected session may be rescheduled once at no charge if multiple attempts to reconnect have been made.
Payment Policy
- All session payments are due before the start of the appointment. Payments are non-refundable except under the specific conditions stated within this document.

All timing and notice requirements apply according to each individual’s local time zone.
Ending Your Contract Early
- When a Client enrolls in a 6-, 12-, or 18-session package, both the Client and Practitioner make an agreement to prioritize the deep work that takes place during these sessions by seeing it through to the end. In the event the Client determines a partnership with The Flowing Victress is no longer fruitful, a cancellation may be permitted. Sessions are typically scheduled every two-weeks (and are automatically billed by Shopify at two-week intervals); for that reason, it is important for The Flowing Victress to receive three weeks notice if a Client chooses to end the partnership.
